Program Description
Become a Certified EKG Technician in a short period of time. EKG technicians are responsible for conducting electrocardiogram tests as ordered by physicians and in accordance with approved clinical standards. These procedures help monitor and evaluate patients’ heart rate and cardiac rhythm for diagnostic purposes.

The program provides instruction in cardiac anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, patient preparation, equipment operation, and proper lead placement. Students will learn to obtain accurate EKG tracings, recognize basic cardiac rhythms, and follow safety, infection control, and professional standards of care. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are prepared for entry-level EKG technician positions and may be eligible to sit for a national certification examination.

Required Documents
Submission of the required registration deposit
A current, government-issued photo identification
A valid Social Security card
Proof of high school graduation or an equivalent GED credential
Completion of a criminal background screening
Current tuberculosis (TB) test results within the past 12 months

Registration Information
Registration is available Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Payment Plan Information
Payment plan options are available for students enrolled in the EKG Technician Training Program. A required deposit must be paid at the time of registration to secure a seat in the class. The remaining balance may be paid in scheduled installments, with all tuition and fees paid in full prior to course completion. Failure to remain current on payments may result in delayed course access, withholding of completion documentation, or dismissal from the program. Payment plans are subject to approval and must be arranged before the first day of class.

Completion & Testing Information
Upon successful completion of the program and all required assessments, students become eligible to sit for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) EKG Technician Certification Exam. The certification exam fee is $240 and must be paid no later than one business day prior to the scheduled exam date.
